How can I call your currency in China? What's the exchange rate between your money and US dollar?

Usually, we call China money " yuan",but some poeple call it ‘kuai’ (like dollar and bucks) , The exchange rate betwwen Us dollar and yuan is 1US dollar =8.3 china yuan same all time before .But now it changes every day.

You can exchange traveler's checks or cash at banksand hotels in the cities.They have the same exchange rate ,because all the banks of china owned by the government.To change money, you show your passport to the bank or hotel . .

Can I spend US dollars or other foreign currencies in China?

I US dollars , Euros,English pounds,,you can use them in the hotel or friendship stores,not in the street to buy some iceream and some small things.

Master Card, Visa, Diner's Card, American Express and JCB these famous cards ,you use them in big shopping malls and department storeIf you travel to those small cities only cash in Yuan can be spend..

IATM is really popular in China , especially in the big cities, you withdraw money from them it with your credit card.Some you also can find it .

Fake money is a lot ?How can I avoid them ?

Yes, like all the country in the world ,we have fake money too .But not that much ,if you only buy staff in the state -owned store and big department store.You will never find it .Only when you buy things from those street vendors,if you are not lucky, you can get it .For foreigner ,you never tell it ,even for us it is hard..So do'nt buy staff from illegal street seller .

When Can I change Yuan back to US dollar, if I have extra of them ?

After you change money form the bank in China ,you will be given a receipt, you have to keep it before you leave china.If you have extra money ,youcan give it to the bank or hotel back to,they will change it back for you ,but you have to show the receipt.
Can I take some Chinese Yuan home as souvenir?

Yes,this is absolutely no problem, but the maximum is 6000 Yuan .More than that you have to declare declare at the customs.

Can I use China Yuan in Hong Kong and Macau?

Generally speaking ,we can not use Yuan in Hongkong, but some accept yuan too. the official currency is Hong Kong dollars now ,maybe in the future it will change . the exchange rate is 100 Hong Kong dollars to 105.6 RMB. In Macau, the official currency is Macau dollars, the exchange rate at present is 100 Macau dollars to 102.6 RMB.
