This is one reason why people like to visit here. There are many small scenic spots in the Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area, such as Water Moon Cave, Samantabhadra Pagoda, Elephant Eye Cave, and Stupa Pagoda. The Kaiyuan Temple where the stupa is located is the oldest in Guilin. After that, we will drive back to the hotel.

It is because many foreign tourists come to visit every year and most of the shopkeepers can speak English. The street is S-shaped, and the winding street is paved with marble. Xingping Fishing Village, Xingping Ancient Town

Today will drive to visit the Xingping Ancient town and Xingping Fishing Village. The history of Xingping Ancient Town can be traced back to 1700 years ago. The brick and tile structures of the ancient buildings in the town are mostly well preserved. There is an ancient banyan tree here. According to legend, it has a history of more than 1,000 years and swallowed 5 statues of Bodhisattva into the trunk. In addition to historical buildings, the natural scenery here is also very beautiful. The Xingping ancient town is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the Li River makes a big turn here. So here is a good place to shoot the Li River. After that, we will visit the Xingping Fishing Village. The architecture of Xingping Fishing Village continues the architectural style of ethnic minorities. On the beams, pillars, and door lintels, you can see various carved patterns everywhere. This is people's expectation and blessing for a better life. You will also have a chance to see the unique cormorant fishing here. The punting fisherman, wearing a sling, stands in front of the bamboo raft and sings loudly. Then he will put the well-trained cormorants into the water to fish. Don't miss such a wonderful moment. After that, we will drive back to Guilin.

More information about cormorant fishing: This ancient and primitive fishing method has been spread for at least a thousand years. Cormorants are large fish-eating and swimming birds. They are good at diving. After diving, their feathers are soaked. They need to spread their wings and dry them in the sun before they can fly. Their mouth is strong and long, tapered, with a sharp hook at the tip, suitable for pecking fish. In water with low visibility, cormorants often stalk the fish to reach their prey, and suddenly crane their necks and use their mouths to make a fatal blow. In the dim water, cormorants generally cannot see the fish. Therefore, it can only achieve success with a keen sense of hearing.

Whether it is sunrise or sunset, summer or autumn, the scenery here is pleasant. After that, we will take you to visit the Ping’an Village. There are many ethnic minorities in Guilin, such as Zhuang, Yao, Hui, Miao, and so on. Ping’an Village is a village of the Zhuang nationality. People here are good at singing and dancing. Photography tips: It is generally believed that there are three most beautiful seasons for the Longsheng rice terrace: May-June, when the terraces are irrigated; September-October, when the rice is golden; and winter snow scenes. But for photographers, May-June is the best season. When the terraces are filled with water, they look like silver dragons hovering on the mountain. The terraced fields will be shining under the sunlight. Many beautiful terraced rice fields were taken at this time. Besides, the sunrise and sunset of the terraced fields are also excellent shooting opportunities. Grasping every encounter between the sun and the terraces, your pictures will be amazing.
