7 Nights 8 Days: Shanghai/Hong Kong/Macau
Our guide will be holding your name sign and waiting for you at the airport. Our tour guide will not leave until you appear. Then we will take you to see the Bund. On the Bund stands 52 classical revival buildings of very different styles, known as the Bund International Architecture Expo Group. It is an important historical site for the people to enjoy the view of the both sides of the river.
Next, you will have a walk on the No.1 shopping street, the Nanjing Road. You can have some free shopping time there.
After breakfast, you will visit Yu Garden (closed on each Monday). It is a classical garden that a government officer specially built for his parents as a place to enjoy their tranquil, happy and retired time. You will have some free time looking around the bazaar area outside the garden.
And then, you will visit Tianzi Fang, which evolved from the most unique Shikumen in Shanghai. Walking in Tianzifang, walking around in a labyrinthine alley, specialty shops and art workshops accidentally jumped into sight. From tea houses, outdoor restaurants, outdoor cafes, galleries, home furnishings to handicrafts, and many well-known creative studios in Shanghai.
After lunch we will see the Shanghai Tower, which is 632m high and having the world's highest observation deck within a building or structure at 562m, and the world's second-fastest elevators at a top speed of 20.5 meters per second.
After breakfast, our guide will take you to visit the Zhujiajiao Water Town. Located in a suburb of Shanghai city, Zhujiajiao is an ancient water town well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1700 years. Entering the Zhujiajiao, a sense of simplicity, tranquility and elegance rushed forward. Its winding slab trails, winding streets and shops, and houses in front and back of the river seemed to be in a traditional Chinese painting. The flowing bridge, the pink-walled tiles, the shore willow, and the Luoguo ship are the real scenery of the ancient town of Jiangnan. In the town, there is an ancient street filled with representative ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, attracting a great number of domestic and foreign visitors. Drive back to Shanghai.
In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport and take the estimated flight: MU507 11:30/14:05 to Hong Kong. Our local guide will then transfer you to the hotel.
This morning, you will visit the Wong Tai Sin Temple. Wong Tai Sin Temple, also known as Sikse Garden, was built in 1921. It mainly worships Huang Chuping, a Taoist immortal in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. In addition, the temple also worships Confucius and Guanyin. Wong Tai Sin Temple contains the main hall-the Noble Heroes' Hall, the Three Holy Halls, the Congxin Garden, and a small garden.
Then you will visit the Victoria Peak, located in the northwest of Hong Kong Island, is one of Hong Kong's iconic attractions. When traveling to Hong Kong, the stunning view of Victoria Peak is definitely a must-see attraction. The mode of transportation is very simple. As long as you take the Victoria Peak Tram, you can overlook Lantau Island and the panoramic view of Hong Kong Island, and you can see the skyscrapers and Victoria Harbour night view in layers.
And then, we will see the Aberdeen Fishing Village which is a Typhoon Shelter. It is an old traditional fishing village which is hard to find in any other parts of the world. After that, you will have lunch at Jumbo Kingdom. Jumbo Kingdom is the world's largest seafood restaurant. It is also the restaurant that makes the oldest seafood ravioli in Hong Kong. The entire seafood pavilion is designed with the theme of the dragon, and the boat pavilion is decorated in the style of the imperial palace. Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and other world-famous families have enjoyed a feast at sea here.
After lunch, you will visit Stanley Market. This market in the quaint village of Stanley on Hong Kong Island’s south coast and is a huge hit with locals, expats and tourists. Stanley Market have many stalls and shops selling all kinds of goods, as well as many traditional Chinese handicrafts, such as antiques, rattan, calligraphy and painting, silk clothing and fabrics. It is a good place to buy letters and souvenirs.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Macau through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a bridge connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macau, which is very spectacular. At night, after the lights on the bridge are light up, the night view is charming, like a glowing ribbon floating on the sea. You will take the bridge shuttle bus to cross the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. While driving on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, you cannot park on the bridge and cannot get off the bus.
When you arrive at Macau, your tour will start from A-Ma Temple. The A-Ma Temple is one of Macau's iconic buildings. It is the front wall left after the church of St. Paul was burned down. Underneath the ruins of St. Paul's Church behind the archway of A-MA Temple, there is also a Catholic art museum and cemetery. Among them, the museum displays precious Catholic themed paintings, sculptures and other works.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Venetian Macao Resort which is a comprehensive venue integrating hotels, conventions and exhibitions, shopping, sports, a variety of leisure facilities. It is a must-visit place for tourists visiting Macau. The hotel is based on the theme of Venice. The interior is full of Venetian arches, small canals and stone roads, full of Italian romantic wild exoticism.
At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to hotel.
This morning, you will take a ferry back to Hong Kong.
When you arrive there you will take the Ngong Ping Cable Car that connects Tung Chung and Ngong Ping. Departing from Tung Chung on the Ngong Ping Cable Car, the 25-minute process is like being in mid-air, and you can experience the "flying" viewing journey. The 5.7 km cable car journey offers visitors spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of South China Sea, Hong Kong International Airport, North Lantau Country Park, and the Giant Buddha. Polin Monastery is known as the "Buddhist Kingdom in the South", Po Lin Monastery is the most popular Buddhist temple in HK. The world's second largest outdoor Bronze Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery becomes a site of pilgrimage and is visited by Buddhists from all over the world. Lunch on your own. And then, we will transfer you back to the hotel.
Today you will be transferred to the airport and fly back to your sweet home.
