Deep Tour to Sanya

Haikou is the capital city of Hainan and is known as the "Coconut City". The average annual temperature in Haikou is 24℃(75.2℉). Here you can wear shorts and skirts all year round. Flip-flops are the most common type of shoes for Haikou people. Seafood is one of the major specialties of Hainan. Hainan's cuisine is also very diverse, with a unique local flavor. Local products are coffee, coconut sugar, coconut cream, natural coconut juice, coconut butter, bananas, pineapple and other tropical fruits.

Our guide will wait and greet you at the arrival hall in the Haikou airport. The guide won’t leave until your appearance. On the way to the hotel, our guide will tell you some information about Haikou city. You could ask any questions you want, they would happy to answer all your questions.

This morning, we will do a little hiking. Please wear a pair of comfortable shoes. The first stop of our Haikou day tour will be Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark. The Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark is about 15 kilometers south of Haikou city and covers an area of 118 square kilometers. It possesses 40 volcanic cones and more than 30 lava tunnels which have a history of more than 10,000 years. In the park, our main visit is to the Ma’anling Crater. It is particularly prominent among the many volcanoes in the crater park, with a height of 222.8 meters, making it the highest peak in northern Hainan Island.

Lunch would be at an authentic local restaurant near the sightseeing.

After the tour in the Geopark, we will take you to the train station. You will take the estimated high-speed train C7329 16:03/17:46 to Sanya.

Sanya City is located in the southernmost tip of Hainan Island. It is China's southernmost coastal tourist city, known as the "Eastern Hawaii". There is the most beautiful seaside scenery of Hainan Island. Beach, diving, seafood are the three eternal themes of Sanya vacation. Wuzhizhou Island enjoys the reputation of "China's first dive base". And it is the most well-protected ecological coral reef in China. Here, you can stretch your body and mind, get in touch with the magical world of the sea, or lie quietly on the beach and let your soul flow with the cloud.

Upon arrival, you will take a private vehicle and go to the hotel overnight.

After breakfast, we will go and visit the Nanshan Temple which is located 44 kilometers west of the Sanya city area. 

The entire temple covers an area of 400 acres, with Tang-style temples lined up by the sea. Even monks have sea-view dormitory. Since the opening of the monastery, Nanshan Temple has become a pure land for the hearts of believers, tourists and visitors. 

We will have a vegetarian lunch in the Nanshan Temple.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Tianya Haijiao scenic area. “Tianya Haijiao” in Chinese means the end of the world. Legend has it that there is a love story here. Like Romeo and Juliet, a boy and girl in love came from two feuding families. Their love was opposed by their respective clansmen. So, they were forced to flee the family. When they reached the Tianya Haijiao, there was no more way to go. They decided to be together no matter live or die. So, they both jumped into the sea here. God was moved by their love and turned them into two huge rocks by the beach, facing each other forever. To commemorate their unfailing love, later generations carved the words "Tianya” which in Chinese means “the End of the World" and "Haijiao” which means in Chinese “the Cape of the Sea" on the two stones. Every year, couples from all directions come to this sacred place. Many celebrities choose to hold their weddings and ceremonies here, and the annual "Tianya International Wedding Festival" is even more remarkable to the world. This mysterious, romantic and beautiful place has witnessed more and more sweet love and becomes an eternal memory for many couples!

Today, you will spend the whole day on Wuzhizhou Island which is a small island located in the east of Sanya city. It takes 50 minutes to the pier. Then we will take a 10-minute ferry to the island.

Wuzhizhou Island is one of the few islands around Hainan Island that is rich in fresh water and vegetation and has been described as the Maldives of China. Wuzhizhou Island has a beautiful and layered landscape. In the central part of the island, the sloping land is covered with tropical plants and vines, while the west and north of the island form a belt of white sandy beaches with uniform and fine sand, and the seawater is of beautiful colors. Wuzhizhou Island is famous for leisure, marine, and underwater entertainment. There are various kinds of holiday villas and chalets as well as bars, tennis courts, seafood restaurants, and other supporting facilities.

You will spend a whole day on the island on your own.

In the late afternoon, our guide will take you back to the hotel.

After breakfast, we will visit Binglanggu·Hainan Li & Miao Cultural Heritage Park (hereinafter referred to as Binglanggu) which is located 30 kilometers northeast of Sanya city. It is densely forested and surrounded by mountains of betel nut. The Binlanggu mainly showcases the native cultures of the Li and Miao ethnic groups and provides an insight into Hainan’s ethnic minorities through tribal customs and live performances.

Lunch will be a local ethnic meal in the village.

Then we will visit the Yanoda Rainforest. Yanoda is not far from the Binlanggu. There are two main routines in the Yanoda Rainforest. One is the Rainforest valley, you can enjoy the rainforest landscape, comfortable temperature and without too much sunshine; the other one is Dream Valley, mainly treading water, wading up from the bottom. This routine needs more strength. Both ways are interesting experiences.

After little hiking in the rainforest, we will go back to hotel overnight.

Today, we will leave you free time to enjoy the sunshine and the beach.

After breakfast, we will drive about 1.5 hours to the northeast of Sanya city and visit Monkey Island.

Monkey Island is located on Nanwan Peninsula, Lingshui County. The island is lushly wooded with beautiful scenery, and it is known as the only tropical island-type macaque nature reserve in the world. Come here to see very many lovely macaques and get close to them. When you have snacks in your hand, macaques may take the snacks away without notice. Of course, they do no harm.

The island is now home to more than a thousand macaques in 21 groups, nearly 2,000 of which are so lively and cute that they are called "Monkey Island", and these domesticated macaques are mostly free-ranging, lively, witty, and not afraid of tourists, which is very interesting.

The best way to get to the island is to take the cross-sea ropeway, which is 2 kilometers long and spans the South Bay, where you can get a glimpse of the fishing rafts for fishermen to live.

This morning, our guide will take you to the airport according to your flight. The guide will help you to check in your luggage. Then you will go back to your sweet home.
