Day 1 Beijing Arrival
Beijing airport arrival transfer.

Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China! Your wonderful China 10-day tour will start here. 

Our guide will be holding your name sign and waiting for you at the airport, and then you will be transferred to your hotel and have a nice rest.

Day 2 Beijing
Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace.

Today, you will first go to see the famous Tian’anmen Square which is located in the center of Beijing. It covers an area of 440,000 square meters and can hold a grand gathering of 1 million people. It is the largest city center square in the world. The National Museum of China, the Great Hall of the people and the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall are all located there. From there you will enter the “Imperial Palace" known as the Forbidden City (closed each Monday) where 24 emperors ruled China for about 600 years. It is the largest existing wooden architecture, with total coverage of 720,000 square meters. There are more than 9,000 rooms inside. If you are interested in Chinese architecture, you can take a closer look at the roofs, carvings, building materials, and structure of the Forbidden City. If you are interested in Feng Shui in China, you can ask your tour guide about the features of Feng Shui in the Forbidden City. If you want to know more stories about ancient Chinese emperors, the tour guide is also happy to tell you the anecdotes of the Chinese emperors that are word of mouth. After lunch, you will go to the Summer Palace where ancient Chinese emperors spend their summertime. It is also the most beautiful and complete imperial garden in existence in China. So it is also known as the "Royal Garden Museum”. Walk along the longest corridor in the Chinese garden and feel the slightly cool breeze, or sit in the beautifully carved and decorated pavilion and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake. These are things that the ancient emperors often did in the summertime.


Option: It will be a good choice if you watch a Kung Fu show in the evening. The Red Theater is a famous performance venue in Beijing. The legend of the Kung Fu show here has always been the favorite show of the majority. This show connects traditional Kung Fu performances with stories. It mainly tells the story of a young monk, from apprenticeship and learning Kung Fu to becoming a Kung Fu master. The show includes a variety of performances of Chinese Kung Fu and Chinese weapons and also combines ballet and modern dance with it. The Irish ambassador once praised that the legend of the Kung Fu show is more exciting than the River Dance.

Day 3 Beijing
Visit Sacred Way, Chang Tomb, Mutianyu Great Wall with cable chair and toboggan, have a photo stop at Bird's Nest and Water Cube. (B+L)

This morning, we will drive for about 1 hour to visit the Ming Tombs. The 7.3 kilometers long Sacred Way is the main way leading to the thirteen imperial tombs. The Chang Tomb is the largest, earliest, and most magnificent with best preserved ground constructions among the 13 tombs. It is the joint burial grave of Ming Chengzu-Zhudi and Empress Xu. The Chang Tomb has the largest construction scale among the Ming Tombs. The square part in front of it consists of three courtyards that are connected to each other. Chang Tomb is built with strict materials, the construction was elaborate, the project was extensive, and it took a long time to build. The underground palace alone took four years. After lunch, we will drive to the Great Wall, which is known as the longest defensive project in the world. The part we will go to is called Mutianyu Great Wall, it is located in Huairou District, 73 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. It has a long history and splendid culture, and enjoys the reputation of "the most unique part among the different sections of Great Wall". The mountains are stacked in the scenic area, and the vegetation coverage rate is over 90%. The Mutianyu Great Wall is 5400 meters long, making it the longest Great Wall in China. The wall is seven or eight meters high and the top of the wall is four or five meters wide. There are buttresses on both sides of the wall, which can resist enemies on both sides, and horse pits are excavated on the outside to improve the defense function. You will go up to the Great Wall by cable chair, climb up and enjoy the view, then come down by toboggan. (For guests with the age above 60, he or she will take the round trip cable chair. Round trip cable car option is also available.) On the way back to the hotel, you will have a photo stop at the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, also known as the National Stadium and National Aquatics Center. You will see them from afar. It’s better to watch them from a distance scenic-wise.

Day 4 BeijingXi'an
Morning visit of Temple of Heaven, then go to Xi'an by bullet train. (B)

This morning after checking out from your hotel, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, where the ancient emperors worshipped the god of heaven and prayed for good harvest. Its rigorous architectural layout, peculiar building structure, and magnificent architectural decoration are considered to be the most exquisite and beautiful group of ancient buildings in China. The Temple of Heaven is not only the pearl in ancient Chinese architecture, but also a treasure in the world’s architectural history. It is a very popular park now for people to do Tai Chi. Then you will be transferred to the train station and take the estimated train:  G87 14:00/18:20 to Xi’an. Our local guide will then transfer you to the hotel.

Day 5 Xi'an
Visit Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda. (B+L)

This morning after breakfast, we will drive for about 1 hour to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum - the No.8 Wonder in the World. The Terracotta Warriors and the Horses stand silently to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor---Qin Shihuang for over 2000 years. Human slavery was practiced in ancient times. After the death of the slave owner, the slave was to be buried as a funerary object. Terracotta Warriors are funerary objects made in the shape of chariots, warhorses, soldiers. In 1987, the Terracotta Warriors was approved by UNESCO for inclusion in the "World Heritage List". In the afternoon, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where Master Xuanzang kept his classics brought from India. In the third year of Yonghui reign of Tang Dynasty, Xuanzang built the Big Wild Goose Pagoda for the preservation of the Buddhist scriptures brought back to Chang'an from Tianzhu via the silk road. The first five stories of the pagoda were added to nine stories, and then the number and height of the stories was changed several times. Finally, the seven-story pagoda was fixed as the one we see today, with a total height of 64.517 meters and a side length of 25.5 meters at the bottom.

Day 6 Xi'anGuilin
Visit the City Wall, then take a flight to Guilin. (B)

After breakfast, we will see the 600 years old City Wall which is the most complete City Wall in China. The City Wall is located in the center of Xi'an, for a total of 13,912 kilometers, with an average height of 12 meters and a width between 15 and 18 meters. Then we will transfer you to the airport and take the estimated flight: MU2331 13:20/15:35 to Guilin. Upon your flight arrival at Guilin airport, our tour guide will be holding your name sign and transfer you to hotel.

Day 7 Guilin
Cruise on Li River, with lunch on board, then visit Yangshuo West Street. (B+L)

This morning, we will pick you up from your hotel. And then drive about one hour to get to the pier for a 4 hours' cruising on Li River - the highlight of sightseeing tour in Guilin with lunch aboard. You will enjoy the beautiful mountains, verdant fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Lijiang scenic area is the world's largest and most beautiful karst mountain and water scenic area. For thousands of years, many literati and writers have been intoxicated. Lijiang scenic area is centered on Guilin city, starting from Xing'an Lingqu in the north and Yangshuo in the south, connected by the Li River. Guilin's landscape is well-known both at home and abroad for its “green mountain, clear water, and peculiar caves. Land in Yangshuo, a small town famous for its natural beauty. Wander about at Yangshuo West Street, where cobblestone streets meander through the market, which is crowded with food stalls and shops selling various Chinese handicrafts. Afterwards, we will drive back to Guilin and get back to your hotel.

Day 8 GuilinShanghai
Visit Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill, then fly to Shanghai. (B)

In the morning, you will visit Reed Flute Cave. The cave got its name from the verdant reeds growing outside, which people make flutes from. Illuminated by colored lighting, the fantastic spectacle is found in many variations along this 240-meter-long cave. There are a large number of beautiful and exquisite stalagmites, stone pillars, stone mantles, and stone flowers in the cave, and form the landscape of Crouching Tiger Pagoda, Primitive Forest, Crystal Palace, Huaguo Mountain, etc., it’s like wonderland, and got its name as "the Art Palace of Nature". Since the Tang Dynasty, there have been traces of tourists throughout the history, and there are 77 murals from different dynasties kept in the cave. And then we will visit Elephant Trunk Hill. It is the emblematic hill of Guilin and a landmark of Guilin tourism. It is located at the confluence of Li River and Taohua River in the center of Guilin. After lunch, we will transfer you to the Guilin airport to take the estimated flight: MU9350 15:40/18:10 to Shanghai. Our guide will be holding your name sign and waiting for you at the airport and transfer you to hotel.

Day 9 Shanghai
Visit Yu Garden, Shanghai Old Street, Shanghai Tower, the Bund, Nanjing Road. (B+L)

After breakfast, you will visit Yu Garden (closed on each Monday). It is a classical garden that a government officer specially built for his parents as a place to enjoy their tranquil and happy retired time. It was built in 1559, fully reflecting the architectural and design style of Chinese classical gardens. Yu Garden was opened to public in 1961, and was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 1982. Nowadays, it has become a popular tourist attraction for domestic and foreign tourists to Shanghai. And you will have the most local experience by strolling around the nearby Shanghai Old Street. After lunch we will see the Shanghai Tower. It has the highest indoor observation deck in the world. From here, you can have a panoramic view of the other skyscrapers like Jinmao Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center, and also Huangpu River and the Bund area. Later you will take a walk at The Bund, it is a famous waterfront area and known as the symbol of Shanghai. The total length of the bund is 1.5 km, starting from Yan 'an East Road in the south to Waibaidu bridge on the Suzhou River in the north, Huangpu river in the east and the old Shanghai financial and foreign trade institutions in the west. And Nanjing Road, famously named one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s. The road stretches from The Bund east towards Hongqiao, with Shanghai's center point “People's Square” in the middle. Then back to your hotel.


Day 10 Shanghai Departure
