Their mouth is strong and long, tapered, with a sharp hook at the tip, suitable for pecking fish. In water with low visibility, cormorants often stalk the fish to reach their prey, and suddenly crane their necks and use their mouths to make a fatal blow. In the dim water, cormorants generally cannot see the fish. Therefore, it can only achieve success with a keen sense of hearing.
