Take the elevator from the bottom of the Sun Pagoda to reach the seventh floor of it. Go up two more floors and you will be on the highest floor --- the ninth floor. Guilin's mountains are unique in shape. The Elephant Trunk Hill we will visit today looks like an elephant drinking water by the river. The Samantabhadra Tower on the top of the hill was built in the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) to enshrine the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. In China, there are only two towers dedicated to the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. One is on Mount Emei in Sichuan and the other is on Elephant Trunk Hill in Guilin. The Samantabhadra Tower is a solid brick tower with a height of 13.6 meters.
