The story about Elephant Trunk Hill: Elephant Trunk Hill was originally named Li Hill. According to legend, seven fairies came to Guilin to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The youngest fairy saw that the people here often encountered floods and felt pity for them. So she worked with the holy elephant in heaven to help people here dredge the river. Soon after Jade Emperor knew this thing, he brought the fairy back to heaven, and turned the holy elephant into a mountain, and suppressed it with a sword on its back, so that the holy elephant would never return to heaven. One day, Samantabhadra was wandering here and saw the holy elephant being suppressed here by a sword. Samantabhadra was moved by the behavior of the celestial elephant, with compassion in his heart, so he pulled out the sword from the elephant and placed it with his bottle. And then the bottle became the Samantabhadra tower. People were moved by what the celestial elephant did, so the Li Hill was renamed Elephant Trunk Hill.
