Joint ticket fare is 258 yuan, which includes 120 yuan for a sightseeing bus and 138 yuan for the entrance fee.

Full-time undergraduate students under 24 years old (with Student ID Card) are half of the charge.
Soldiers in active service in the army are half of the charge (with officer certificate).

Pudacuo National Park (or Potatso National Park) is located in the center of the world natural heritage of “Three Parallel Rivers Area”. It is composed of two parts, the International important wetland Nature reserve of Bita Lake and the scenic area of Shudu Lake.
 

Pudacuo National Park is a provincial nature reserve and an important part of the " Three Parallel Rivers " scenic area. It is mainly composed of Shudu Lake, Militang Alpine Pasture and Bita Lake. It is also one of the main scenic spots in Shangri-La tourism.

In June 2007, Shangri-La Pudacuo National Park, China's first protected area designated a national park, has been officially inaugurated.
 

In June 2008, The State Forestry Administration approved Yunnan province as a pilot province for national park construction. Pudacuo National Park is the first national park in mainland China approved by the State Forestry Administration and managed by the Yunnan Provincial Forestry Department.
 

In November 2012, Shangri-La Pudacuo National Park in Yunnan Province was awarded as national 5A tourist attractions.

Shudu Lake

The water and grass in the lake are abundant and are especially suitable for grazing. The word "Shudu" means to praise the beauty of the pasture. Militang Alpine Pasture is a famous sub-alpine pasture in the history of Shangri-La. When summer comes, the pasture becomes a sea of flowers and all kinds of wildflowers bloom. Locals call them "the Flower Fields". It is also the winter habitat of migratory birds such as black-necked crane, grey crane and zebra head goose. Scattered on the grassland, the log cabins are temporary places for herdsmen to live while they graze, and also a window to understanding the local culture of Yunnan.

Bita Lake is a provincial-level nature reserve and a wetland of international importance. In the Tibetan language, "Bita" means a place that has a large number of Quercus robur. The lake is beautiful and fascinating with tree shadows standing upside down. Bita Lake contains rich natural and cultural implications. It is the Holy Lake in the mind of Tibetan people and they believe that this is a place that brings good fortune to people.

 

How to Get to Pudacuo National Park

By Bus

Shangri-La Passenger Station runs a bus to Pudacuo every day, 30 yuan/round trip, leaving at 9:30 AM and returning at 15:00 PM.

Diqing Tourist Service Center of Dukezong Ancient city of Shangri-La takes four buses to Pudacuo every day, 30 yuan/round trip.

 

  • Note: The fourth one only runs when there are many tourists

1) The first one leaves at 8:00 a.m. and returns at 14:00 p.m.
2) The second one leaves at 9:00 a.m. and returns at 15:00 p.m.
3) The third one leaves at 10:00 a.m. and returns at 16:00 p.m.
4) The fourth one leaves at 11:00 a.m. and returns at 17:00 p.m.
Take the Shangri-La bus to Shuangqiao and you will arrive at Pudacuo National Park. Leaving at 9:30 AM and returning at 4:00 PM. The ticket fare is 15 yuan.

 

By Taxi

Chinese: 请带我去普达措国家公园。English: Please take me to the Pudacuo National Park.

If you go to the Pudacuo National Park from Shangri-La airport by taxi, it will take about 45 minutes(about 120 yuan).


By Chartered Bus

In the exit of the Shangri-La city, there are often taxi drivers looking for individual passengers to share a taxi. The price is about 55 yuan per person.

Yes, you can visit Shudu Lake by boat. The cruise takes about 20 minutes and the current ticket price is 50 RMB. In case of extreme weather, the boat tour may be stopped at any time.
