Hongya Valley is also known as Zhuangyuan Mountain and Bang Mountain, bordering Xibaipo in the north and a great plain in the east. It is 60 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province.
 

The main scenic spots here are Hongya Lake, Jiutian Waterfall, Hongya Ancient Town, Hongya Academy, Huayan Temple, and Qingteng Valley. In the valley, visitors can wander in nature in spring, enjoy beautiful flowers in summer, view and admire red leaves in autumn and ski in winter. Travelers often visit there in spring and summer.

Hongya Ancient Town is the hometown of Zhou Shao, the Taifu of Zhao state, during the Warring States period. The Hongya Ancient Town covers an area of 260 mu, which is divided into three streets and two lanes, including Bangshan Street, Baiwei Street, Gongfang Street, Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley.
 

The architecture of the ancient town was dominated by the style of North China and Taihang Mountain in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It can be regarded as the essence of the folk custom of West Hebei. Hongya Ancient Town is also the largest Taihang Residential Architecture Museum in North China. It is said that the whole town hides stories in every corner. The trip to this little town is not only a leisure and holiday travel, but also a tour to enjoy the architectural totem culture.

Along the valley, there are two ancient buildings in turn heaving in sight. The gray brick building with gray tile is Hongya Academy. It is the research base of Chinese traditional culture presided over by Nankai University's Sinology masters. The lecture hall of traditional Chinese culture teaches all the year round and becomes a place for thousands of students to experience the classics of Chinese traditional culture.
 

The red building is Huayan Temple, a famous temple in North China with the Hall of the Heavenly King, the Precious Hall of the Great Hero, Bell Tower, etc. From the first day to the eighth day of every month, believers from all over North China come to listen to Zen and chant sutras.

After passing through Huayan Temple, the 11-kilometer sightseeing wooden plank road leads you to enter into the world brimmed with lush mountains and forests, undulating mountains and countless wonderful plants. Among them, the most amazing one is the Glass Drawbridge, which is located at the highest elevation of Hongya Valley.
 

The glass bridge is 488 meters long and has 433 glass steps. It is paved with 1077 pieces of glass weighing 70 tons. The vertical distance from the bridge deck to the bottom of the depression is 218 meters.
 

Looking down through the glass bridge deck, the canyon cracks are close at hand. Walking on it seems to be riding against the wind, full of excitement.
