Visitors can purchase tickets by following the WeChat official account of the "Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel" to make reservations. The tickets will be on sale 3 days in advance, while stocks last.

The Tientsin Eye is the only Ferris wheel built on a bridge in Asia. It is 120 meters high and its diameter reaches 110 meters, which is equivalent to 35 floors. The wheel is equipped with 48 transparent cabins. The area of each cabin is about 12 square meters. It can accommodate 8 people at the same time. The whole Ferris wheel can realize 384 people sightseeing at the same time.
 

The Ferris wheel is driven by electricity, and it takes about 28 minutes to rotate at a constant speed. At the highest point, you can see the scenery within 40 kilometers. In November 2010, the Tientsin Eye Ferris Wheel was rated as China's National 4A  tourist attraction.

 

Development of the Tientsin Eye

Yongle Bridge is one of the bridges which is first newly built in the comprehensive development of the Haihe River, and it is also the bridge with the most complicated technology across the river on the Haihe River. On April 22, 2008, the installation and construction of the Tientsin Eye Ferris Wheel were completed, and the cabin installation was completed. On April 16, 2009, the Yongle Bridge Ferris Wheel was officially opened.
 

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch Relay passed Yongle Bridge and the Tientsin Eye in Tianjin. And shortly before the opening of the Olympic Games, Yongle Bridge was officially opened to traffic. The Tianjin Yongle Bridge Ferris Wheel was officially opened on April 28, 2009, to welcome tourists.

 

Ways to Get to the Tientsin Eye

 By Bus

a. Take bus 1, sightseeing bus2, bus 4, 12, 18, 34, 609, 610, 611, 619, 632, 641, 646, 646, 659, 670, 671, 818, 878, 904, get off at Jingangqiao Station.

b. Take sightseeing bus 1, bus 5, 37, 161, 606, 635, 642, 653, 657, 658, 687, 801, 824, 836, 855, 906, and get off at Beidaguan Station.



By Subway

Taking Tianjin Metro Line 1 to the Northwest Corner Subway Station and then walk to the Ferris wheel in 20 minutes or take bus 861 to reach it.


By Taxi

Chinese: 请带我去天津之眼。English: Please take me to the Tientsin Eye.

If you go to the Tientsin Eye from the center of Tianjin, it takes about 30 minutes(25 yuan).

If you go to the Tientsin Eye from the Tianjin Binhai International Airport, it takes about 40 minutes(60 yuan).

If you go to the Tientsin Eye from the Tianjin Train Station, it takes about 15 minutes(15 yuan).
