In the spring of 1988, 15 thousand square meters of green space were excavated at the east side of No.1 Gate due to subway construction.

In March 1995, the project of Metro Line 1 was completed, and 12,000 square meters of green space were returned, and 3,000 square meters of green space was still borrowed. All the green land returned has been planted with trees and flower beds.
