Merry-Go-Round,Hong Kong Disneyland

The Hong Kong Disneyland was open to the public in 2005. It has been rated as one of the most popular amusement parks in Asia. It boasts various themed areas, such as Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Toy Story Land, and Tomorrowland.

Feng shui is an ancient art that has a profound influence on the site selection and design of the park. To keep the luck from running away, designers built a bend in the sideway close to the entrance.

In addition, Hong Kong Disneyland offers a variety of Chinese and Western entertainment during festivals.

Development of Hong Kong Disneyland

In 2003, about four hundred guests were invited to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of Hong Kong Disneyland.

In 2005, the park was officially opened. Due to the tight budget, many amusement facilities were not open, which makes many people disappointed. On the opening day, rides were available to visitors like the Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Disneyland Railroad, Jungle Cruise, and the Main Street vehicles.

In 2006, Hong Kong Disneyland invested heavily in expansion. Autopia has been opened as part of the first phase. On top of that, the version of Autopia in Hong Kong Disneyland is special, unlike that of any other park. The key characteristics of the Autopia are electric cars with lighting effects as well as an audio system. Lush jungles and grotesque landscapes are the themes of it.

In 2009, the Hong Kong SAR government and the Walt Disney Company finalized their plans for large-scale expansion. According to the plan, three new theme parks and some exciting rides will be set up, namely “Grizzly Trail,” “Mystic Point” and “Toy Story Land” with its beloved Mystic Manor. Two of them are unique worldwide and one is second to none in Asia.

In 2016, Iron Man Experience was built, and in the same year, Autopia was replaced by the Marvel Ride.

In 2017, Hong Kong Disneyland proclaimed major expansion plans approved by the lawmakers of the Hong Kong SAR, and some new theme parks and rides will be added to the Hong Kong Disneyland.
