Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is located at the Peak Tower on Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. The headquarters of Madame Tussauds is located in London, the UK. The Madame Tussauds Hong Kong opened in 2000. It exhibits about one hundred wax figures of international and domestic celebrities. It is a museum dedicated to displaying wax figures of celebrities. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is divided into 10 exhibition areas, including Hong Kong Glamour, Historical and National Heroes, World Premiere, The Champions, and Music Icons, and so on.

 

History of the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong opened in 2000. Since its opening, Madame Tussauds has been a place of a bustling crowd, attracting millions of tourists.

On August 30, 2005, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong was closed due to expansion.

O May 18, 2006, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong reopened, and a lot of wax figures of celebrities were added to it, such as Xiang Liu, Tiger Woods, Connie Chan, Jay Chow, Miriam Yeung, Aaron Kwok, Bae Yong Joon, and Leon Lai.

In 2007, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China, other six celebrities were specially added, including Deng Xiaoping, Sun Yat-sen, Zhou Enlai, Mao Zedong, Wen Jiabao and Yang Liwei

On March 28, 2020, Hong Kong suspended the opening of the entertainment venues due to the epidemic. On May 8, 2020, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong reopened.

How to Get to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

By Bus

You can take Minibus No.1. The bus departs from Central (Phase II of the International Finance Center) to The Peak every 10 minutes.

You can take First Bus No.15. The bus departs from Central Star Ferry Piers to The Peak. The frequency is every 11 to 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday and 13-30 minutes on Sundays and Public Holidays.

You can take First Bus No. 15B. The bus departs from Tin Hau to The Peak every 10 to 20 minutes on Sundays and Public Holidays.
 

By Subway

If you want to take the subway to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, you can take Tsuen Wan Line or Island Line to Central Station, and then you can walk to the Peak Tram Station (Garden Road, Central) to The Peak. (The opening time of the Peak Tram is from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm every day. The frequency is every 15 minutes.)
